About the event
Are you interested in the life and everyday life of people affected by a mental illness or challenge? Do you perhaps otherwise not dare to ask anyone questions about this? Can't you imagine what it's like to live with a mental illness? Would you like to hear more about the experience of those affected so that you can better perceive mental difficulties in your environment and be able to approach the people affected better? In personal exchange with people who deal with a psychological challenge in their everyday life, we can get to know their story and get an insight into their everyday life. In a small, personal group we can ask them our questions and find out what is on their minds, how they feel, how they cope with their everyday life and what helps them.

Self-help Zurich
Self-help Zurich is the responsible information and advice center for self-help groups in the city of Zurich and surrounding regions. Self-help Zurich is supported by the non-denominational and non-partisan foundation Pro Open Doors in Switzerland. We inform and advise those affected, relatives and specialists on the subject of self-help and self-help groups and arrange contacts with around 400 groups. We maintain an extensive database with information on the active self-help groups in the city of Zurich and the surrounding regions. With our support, numerous new self-help groups are founded every year. The groups cover a wide variety of topics, ranging from physical or mental illnesses and addiction problems to coping with strokes of fate and critical life events. Challenging issues in existing self-help groups are accompanied by our counselors at the request of the groups.
