About the event
Addressing suicidal thoughts specifically helps to recognize people's mental distress. It relieves those affected and does not leave them alone with their crisis. Recognizing suicidality makes it possible to initiate supportive interventions to manage the crisis. In the workshop, we mainly deal with how we start a conversation, how we specifically ask about suicidal thoughts and how we deal with suicidal statements from those affected. The confrontation helps us to better withstand the pressure that suicidality triggers in ourselves, to recognize our own limits and to act if necessary.
